Mind Boggling Destinations On Earth

5. Hiller Lake, Western Australia

Also known as the Pink Lake, this Middle Island anomaly is thought to have a salinity factor more than ten times an average ocean. The saltiness attracts a host of bacteria and algae that reproduce at a rapid rate and provide the unusual, but breathtaking pink hue. Located adjacent to the Pacific ocean, this anomaly is a small six hundred meters long and is relatively stagnant. Hiller Lake has been oft-visited by both tourists and locals since its discovery back in the early 1800s, making it an infamous body of water across the world. However, this is not the only pink body of water in the world, which is a fact often unknown or overlooked, though this is quite possibly the most popular and possibly attracts the highest traffic. The lights might be out in the next destination, but the glowing beauty is unparalleled.
